Silver Lake Preserve is a pristine 1,876 acre tract of land which served for generations as the Lykes family private quail hunting grounds. Come to enjoy the tranquil setting and a place to get away, perfect for corporate retreats or small business or family gatherings.

Nestled in the middle of large majestic oak trees the Silver Lake Preserve Lodge provides spacious and comfortable accommodations for our guests. Guests are treated to an old Florida style hunting facility. Originally built in the mid-1900s, it served as the private hunting facility for the Lykes family. Expansion of the lodge took place later, with renovations completed several years ago.

Silver Lake Preserve lodge offers four bedrooms, five bathrooms, a large dining room, a full kitchen, and a common area. Two bedrooms each have two queen beds and two bedrooms each have 2 twin beds. Each bedroom has its own private bath with an additional bathroom in the common area. Amenities include central heat and air conditioning, satellite TV, wireless internet access, hardwood floors, and a bon fire area for socializing. The Lodge can comfortably accommodate up to ten overnight guests.

The preserve offers walking trails, nature and wildlife photography opportunities, and an outdoor shooting range. Guided hunts are conducted on the preserve by season, offering a truly pleasurable experience for those who wish to enjoy the natural beauty of the Florida landscape.

The lodge can also serve as a home base to explore the region. Silver Lake Preserve lies on the outskirts of the town of LaBelle, in central Florida’s Glades County. Before arrival of permanent settlers in the late 1800s, the region was originally populated by the Caloosa, who gathered for religious ceremonies under the oak hammocks on the shore of the nearby Caloosahatchee River. In 1896, Capt. Francis Asbury Hendry named the area for his daughters Laura and Belle: LaBelle (“the beautiful” in French). This beautiful region of the state has lots to offer.

With a spacious lodge, Silver Lake Preserve has the ability to host corporate meetings or luncheons year round. This allows your business partners or colleagues to enjoy a meeting in a peaceful country setting with no distractions. Team building activities can be included by adding a round of sporting clays shooting on the wobble deck to your meeting.
